Fabric roof folded back, scorpion on the nose and the city turned into a racetrack. The Abarth 595C proves that driving pleasure is measured not in metres of length but in smiles per mile.

Under the bonnet sits the 1.4 T-Jet turbo with 145 PS and 206 Nm, a five-speed manual gearbox and front-wheel drive. Light, compact and eager, it begs you to hold every gear. This 2019 example has covered 50,000 km.

Carlo Abarth founded his company in 1949 and chose his star sign, Scorpio, as its emblem. The 595 name recalls the little Fiat-Abarths derived from the original Fiat 500; the brand was reborn in 2007 and the open-top version was unveiled at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show.
