Chevrolet Corvette Stingray C8 6.2 V8 Auto

For generations the Corvette carried its engine up front. The C8 turned that tradition on its head, and it shows at first glance: supercar proportions, a cabin pushed forward and a V8 sitting just behind your shoulders, ready to wake with an unmistakably American voice.

The 6.2-litre LT2 produces 482 PS in European form, driving the rear wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox. With the Z51 pack, standard in Europe, Chevrolet quotes 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds. This 2022 car shows 15,000 km.

Revealed in July 2019, it is the first production Corvette with a rear mid-engine; GM said the front-engined layout had reached its limits. In 2020 it was Motor Trend Car of the Year and North American Car of the Year.
