The supercharged 5,439 cc V8 produces 626 PS and 780 Nm, paired with a five-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT R automatic. Carbon-fibre construction, carbon-ceramic brakes and a rear air brake bring 0-100 km/h in 3.6 s and 334 km/h.

A tribute to the 300 SLR in which Stirling Moss won the 1955 Mille Miglia, the SLR was styled by Mercedes and engineered and built by McLaren in Woking. The Roadster arrived in September 2007; 2,157 SLRs were built in total.
