Porsche Panamera S Hybrid

For decades, Porsche dreamed of a four-seat sports car. This 2012 Panamera S Hybrid, in metallic paint with 198,000 km behind it, fulfils that dream with one extra argument: the quiet efficiency of a car that got there first.

A supercharged 3.0-litre V6 of Audi origin works in parallel with an electric motor for a combined 380 PS and 0-100 km/h in 6.0 s. The eight-speed Tiptronic S manages it all smoothly, in a saloon that drives like a Porsche and sips like few others.

The idea of a four-seat Porsche dates back to a 1950s prototype based on the 356, then lengthened 928s and the Type 989. The Panamera arrived in 2009, and in 2011 the S Hybrid became the luxury class's first parallel full hybrid.
