Ferrari F355
Ferrari F355 Spider
Pininfarina lines, a mid-mounted engine and the sky for a roof: the F355 Spider is a 1990s Ferrari at its purest, analogue and absorbing. With every downshift the V8 answers with an eagerness that always asks for one more bend, one more mountain road.
The 3.5-litre engine, designed by Paolo Martinelli, uses five-valve-per-cylinder heads and produces 380 PS. The gearbox is a six-speed manual, driving the rear wheels. This 1996 example, finished in metallic paint, has covered 50,000 km.
The Spider made its debut in 1995, a year after the berlinetta, its lines refined over 1800 hours in the wind tunnel. It was the second most popular F355, with 3717 built, 2664 of them manuals, and it made way for the 360 in 1999.
