MG MGB
MG B Roadster
Roof down, a quiet back road and the sound of a British four-cylinder filling the air: the MGB Roadster is the very definition of simple, genuine driving pleasure. A classic that invites you to drive it, not just admire it.
The 1,798 cc B-Series engine produces 95 bhp and drives the rear wheels through a four-speed manual gearbox. It was the first MG sports car with monocoque construction rather than a traditional separate chassis.
Announced on 19 September 1962 to replace the MGA, the MGB was built at Abingdon until 1980. Its competition record includes a GT category win on the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally and the 84-hour Marathon de la Route at the Nürburgring in 1966.
