Porsche 356
Porsche 356 C SC Cabrio
Roof folded, a slender wheel in your hands and the murmur of the flat-four behind you: driving a 356 Cabriolet is a return to the essence of Porsche. Soft lines, delicate proportions and an elegance that never needed to shout.
In SC form, the 1,582 cc flat-four produces 95 hp, the most powerful pushrod engine Porsche had built up to then. Mounted at the rear, it drives the rear wheels through a four-speed manual, and the 356 C brought disc brakes on all four wheels.
The 356 was the first production Porsche, created by Ferry Porsche and built from 1948 in Gmünd, Austria. The 356 C, its final evolution, replaced the 356 B in September 1963.
