Porsche 911 993 Turbo
Broad haunches and a presence that commands respect without raising its voice: this 1995 911 Turbo is the last Turbo of the air-cooled era, pairing the physical joy of a manual gearbox with remarkable sophistication.
The 3.6-litre twin-turbo flat-six makes 408 PS and 540 Nm, sent to all four wheels through a six-speed manual. Two smaller turbochargers instead of one large unit noticeably cut turbo lag. Porsche quoted 290 km/h. It has covered 95,000 km.
Unveiled at Geneva in March 1995, it was the first 911 Turbo with twin turbochargers and standard all-wheel drive. Its engine also had the lowest exhaust emissions of any series-production unit of its day.
